Youth & Teen Activities Calendar

In consultation with the Skagit County Health Department, we are taking a two week pause from all in-person programming.

Storytimes

Toddler Storytime: An interactive storytime on Tuesdays at 10:30am featuring early literacy fun with books, songs, fingerplays and body movement. Hands-on extension activities follow. Ages 1-3 with a caregiver (babies also welcome).


Preschool Storytime: Join us on Wednesdays at 10:30am for stories, songs and movement that incorporate early literacy skills to help prepare children for kindergarten. Cooperative playtime follows. Geared for ages 3-5 with a caregiver.


Bilingual Storytime: Join us Thursdays at 10:30am for bilingual stories, songs, and movement to engage children in early literacy skills and cultivate an appreciation of the Spanish language and Latino culture. Cooperative playtime follows. Geared toward ages 3-5 with a caregiver.


Baby Storytime: Books, songs, rhymes and bubbles to stimulate brain development and help babies learn language. Playtime follows. On Fridays at 10:30am. Ages birth to 2 with a caregiver.

Play & Learn

Join us on Saturdays between 10-11:30am for self-guided kindergarten readiness activities for caregivers and children to explore together. Ages 2-6.

Teen Meetup

Resumes Feburary 8th


Guided weekly activities, DIY projects, and more! Give your input on what activities you want to see. Tuesdays from 4-5:30pm. Ages 10+.

LEGO Building

We supply the LEGO bricks; you supply your imagination. Come build on Wednesdays between 1-5:30pm and Saturdays between 1-3:30pm. Family fun for all ages.

On Demand Activities

Drop in and ask at the Youth Services desk to use Ozobots, the Nintendo Switch, Tablets and VR Headsets while you are at the library. (Kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult to use VR.)



Library of Things

Did you know we have three different kinds of kits you can check out? Ozobot kits, Lego Boost Kits and a Family Birdwatching kit are available to check out. Click on blue link to put a hold on one today!
