Office of Chief of Police
As your Chief of Police, it’s my duty and responsibility to lead the Mount Vernon Police Department in an effective and responsible manner. General duties of the position include policy development, program planning, fiscal planning and management, and the administration of the Department as a whole. I am accountable to our community, City staff and members of the Department.

The Mount Vernon Police Department has established a Vision, Mission, broad goals and set of core values that serve as our guiding principles. The Office of the Chief consists of the Chief of Police and an Administrative Assistant. We are fortunate to have a strong command team, made up of four division commander’s.
As your Chief of Police, I am committed to being an accountable, responsive, and effective leader. I will insure the Mount Vernon Police Department maintains the highest level of professionalism and service possible with the resources that are available.
