Making a Mark: Photo-ID of Harbor Porpoises in the Salish Sea
Tuesday, May 22, 2018
The harbor porpoise is one of the most abundant species in the Salish Sea, yet little is understood about their population. Pacific Mammal Research is dedicated to understanding more about their population by conducting photo-ID surveys and the use of passive acoustic technology. Come learn about the marine mammals of the Salish Sea and specifically harbor porpoises.
Presented by: Dr. Cindy Elliser, who has conducted marine mammal research for over 15 years and is the founder of the Pacific Mammal Research to study marine mammals in the Salish Sea.
