The City of Mount Vernon and Skagit County have signed an inter-local agreement memorializing the desire to create a cooperative relationship and collaborate on each of the governments needs with the goal of establishing collective, long-range strategies, joint ventures and vision that will meet the needs of the community served.
The first project to work on will be the feasibility of a joint library/community center along with public parking in the historic downtown area. Please see the linked documents below for details.
