The unit consists of two Traffic Officers supervised by the Special Operations Sergeant.  Those selected to be Traffic Officers must successfully complete a panel interview, work performance review and final selection by the Chief of Police.

Traffic Officers hold special certifications that include but are not limited to advanced and technical accident investigation.  They also must complete a very rigorous police motorcycle school before being permitted to ride.
