Project Description:
The City has received a $1.3 million grant from the state Transportation Improvement Board to signalize and make improvements at the intersection, which carries the highest traffic volume at a stop sign controlled intersection in the City; about 17,000 to 21,000 vehicles per day. Improvements will include a new signal, pavement restoration, sidewalk improvements and extensions, underground utilities, a new bus stop, and other amenities.
Current Status:
The anticipated schedule for design and construction are as follows:
- Design consultant selection January 2021
- Project Design March through May/June 2022
- Advertise for Construction December 2022
- Project Construction estimated to begin February 2023
