Storybook Pumpkin Patch Monday, October 21 - Saturday, November 2 All ages
Celebrate fall by decorating a pumpkin to look like one of your favorite book characters for our storybook pumpkin patch. All pumpkins will be on display in the Youth Services area where Friends of the Mount Vernon Library will award a grand prize for each grade category: Preschool, grades K-2, grades 3-5, grades 6-8, and grades 9-12. Day of the Dead Crafts Tuesday, October 29 from 3-7 p.m. All Ages
Drop in from 3-7 p.m. to create crafts for Día de los Muertos, a Mexican celebration where families honor their ancestors.
Crazy 8s Math Club Thursdays, September 19 - November 14 from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Grades 3-5
Love math? Hate math? Join the club! Crazy 8s is an after-school math club that teaches math concepts in a fun and engaging way to kids of all math abilities in grades 3-5! Sign up requested.

Drop-in for an open creativity lab in our new Maker Corner, located in the Young Adult corner of the library. Featured do-it-yourself projects for October month include: fall themed string art, autumn wreaths, and bionic hands.
Nintendo Switch Fridays, from 12:30- 4:30 p.m. Ages 10+
Come and play Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Just Dance 2019.

Isn’t it time you got back to the library? Pick up a punch card and discover all the library has to offer. Attend programs, check out new books, and explore our digital collection to earn stamps. Return your completed card to the library in exchange for a $5 gift card*.

Fall Storytime Schedule: September 17 - December 12
Wiggle and giggle with baby at this fun and interactive storytime. Caregivers will learn a variety of bounces, songs, and fingerplays to use at home to develop baby’s early literacy skills. Playtime follows.
Storytime is an opportunity for parents to introduce their children to reading and language in a fun way. At Storytime, children have an opportunity to do activities that promote development and learning.
K’nex Building Mondays from 3-7:30 p.m. Ages 3+
Kids ages 3 and up can put their building creativity to work with our K'nex sets.
LEGO Building Wednesdays from 3-7:30 p.m. & Saturdays from 2-4:30 p.m. Ages 3+
We supply the LEGOs, you bring your imagination. For ages 3 and up.
Play and Learn Fridays and Saturdays from 10-11:30 a.m. Recommended for ages 2-6
