The Reference Room in the Mount Vernon City Library is a wonderfully quiet and pleasant sanctuary as well as a good place to find information. Spend a quiet break reading the "Wall Street Journal" or any of our 22 newspapers and go back to work refreshed. We're handy to downtown and city or county offices.
As you enter the Reference Room you'll see newspapers and magazines to your left and reference materials to your right.
The Reference collection has your usual sources of census and economic data, scientific and literary reference books. There are also encyclopedias of religion and dictionaries in eleven languages. We even have the Mount Vernon High School yearbook, Skagina, for most of the years back to 1912.
Finding Information Easily
