Information about Styrene for Sewer Lining

Project Description:
This project includes lining approximately 8,273 feet of sanitary sewer pipe and approximately 948 feet of storm sewer pipe with a cured in place pipe (CIPP) liner system. Work also includes grouting and restoring laterals, trimming intruding laterals, and lining pipe with manholes near a railroad and in I-5.

Current Status:

The contractor mobilized on June 15, 2020,  and is expected to complete the project in late July. The contractor is currently installing liners in sewers in multiple locations throughout the City.  These liners will play an important role in extending the life of the City’s aging sewer mains. By eliminating leaks and preventing infiltration, the liners provide a cost effective means of protecting groundwater from contamination and reducing unnecessary costs and wear on the City’s sewer treatment processes.

This work is substantially complete.
