Remembering Ruth "Dolly" Joern

The family of Ruth “Dolly” Joern has asked the Foundation to sponsor a special fundraising effort to support the Library and to remember their cherished family member.  Many people in the Skagit Valley knew Dolly in her role as a pioneering nurse practitioner.  Donations in remembrance of Dolly Joern will be used to purchase special rolling book carts that will be usable in both the current facility as well as the new Library Commons.  If enough money is raised. Library staff will look at the possibility of dedicating a reading corner to Dolly in the new facility.
