Virtual Storytimes with Andrea and Jesusita

Virtual Storytimes are back!

Can't make it to the library for storytime, no problem! We are bringing back virtual storytimes that you can enjoy whenever and where ever you want! New storytimes premiere every Saturday and Sunday morning at 9am on the library's YouTube channel and Facebook page. Storytimes are important for early learners because they introduce new words, sentence structures and types of communication, as well as help children engage with new perspectives.

Dolly Joern Reading Corner

New Reading Corner

The Mount Vernon Library Foundation sponsored a fundraising campaign to remember Ruth “Dolly” Joern. Many people in the Skagit Valley knew Dolly in her role as a pioneering nurse practitioner. In fact in her 37 years as a nurse practitioner and 65 years as a nurse and caregiver she provided care to multiple generations of the same family and she was known to many. Thank you to everyone who donated to this campaign
