For more than a century a library has stood in downtown Mount Vernon reinventing itself to meet the changing needs of the growing community. As the Mount Vernon Library Commons construction continues, we invite you to our Foundation's annual meeting to look back on the history of the Library and look forward to the next chapter.

Library Director Isaac Huffman will talk about where we are, Mayor Jill Boudreau will show us where we’re going, and we will ask you for stories about where we’ve been.

This is a pivotal time for the Library, with construction scheduled for completion in late 2023 and funding still needed. Sip coffee, eat cookies, ask questions, and join the discussion about where we’ve been and how to get where we need to go.

State Funding is critical to get the Mount Vernon Library Commons to completion. State funding is accessible and flexible.  This year we are asking for $2 million to fill the funding gap. Please join us in writing a short letter to help complete the Mount Vernon Library Commons! Sample
