1. How long does it take to get a permit for a residential home?

Once a complete application is received, simple single-family plan review (that doesn't require design standard review) typically takes about 2-3 weeks to either be approved (if no changes are necessary); or to receive the first set of review comments.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provides the official maps that show properties that are located within a floodplain. Below is a link to FEMA's website where you can verify whether or not a property is within a floodplain.
