The Mount Vernon Police Department Intern Program is intended to compliment the classroom experience for students enrolled in college level courses. Intern duties and responsibilities vary from student to student based on their course of study, and may include clerical and other specified areas of need. Students are required to work 10-15 hours a week to satisfy the internship requirements. In 2023, the Mount Vernon Police Department is working in partnership with the Northwest Career and Technical Academy's Criminal Justice Program to provide internship opportunities to students interested in law enforcement.
If you have any questions concerning the Internship program, contact our Crime Prevention Sergeant Ben Green at (360) 336-6271.
