Edgewater Park Cats Project

The cats living in Edgewater Park are fed and cared for by citizen volunteers who cooperate with City of Mount Vernon Animal Services.  These cats are part of a Trap-Neuter-Return program in which they are neutered and vaccinated.  

Please Do Not Feed Cats

The cats are being fed on a schedule to ensure their health and the ability to monitor them.  Unauthorized feeding is prohibited.

Do Not Leave Cats At This Location

It is illegal to abandon cats in Mount Vernon.  Individuals who leave animals here can be charged with abandonment and face penalty fines of up to $1,000.
