2024 Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan
Every six years the Parks and Recreation Department updates the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Plan. City Council adopted the 2024 PROS Plan by Ordinance at their March 27, 2024 meeting. The Plan has been filed with the State’s Recreation and Conservation Office for grant eligibility.
The PROS Plan is a strategic plan for managing and enhancing park and recreation services. It provides a vision for Mount Vernon’s park and recreation system, identifies costs and funding options, and establishes goals and actions.
